how to make a projector with a flashlight

In this article, we're going to tell you how to make a projector just with a simple flashlight and some steps. We're going to go over what you need and how it all works, so let's jump right into it.

What You'll Need:

- A flashlight

- Clean curtains or a piece of paper (optional)

- Something for the light to reflect onto (i.e., an empty wall or window)

How does it work?

"We project the beam of light from the flashlight onto another surface like a wall using binoculars. This way, part of the beam is projecting light straight on and then we use the binoculars as our lens to focus that image. Then that image is projected onto the wall."

Step 1:

First, you need to find a good spot to place the projector. I found that if I had a hole in my ceiling and was able to reach up above it, then that would be a good spot for this projector to perform well. The higher the ceiling is off the ground and the more room you have, the better your projector will work out. There are other ways to place your flashlight in orderto project an image on a wall or piece of paper, but this is what I used (see picture).

Step 2:

Next, you need to take the flashlight out of its original casing and place it in its new one. The inside of this new casing needs to be dark or the light wont project out strong enough. If the flashlight isn't in the right way with the lens, then your image won't be clear.

Now that you have your flashlight assembled, it's time to start focusing on how exactly you're going to project an image onto a wall or a piece of paper. There are many ways that you can do this depending on what you have as a background, but I'm showing you what works best for me and my room (see picture).

Step 4:

In this step, you need to place your flashlight in the spot that you think would best project an image onto a wall. It really doesn't matter what angle the flashlight is at, just as long as you can see something happen on the wall when you shine the light onto it.

Step 5:

Now that you have the flashlight in the right spot, it's time to start shining the light onto your background. The lighting isn't as bright as it will be on the wall, so you need to adjust your screen or piece of paper so that you can see what's happening on it while you're shining the flashlight onto it.

Step 6:

Here is a picture of what I got when I was able to focus my projector (see picture). It was very bright and clear and was able to project good enough for me to use around my house.

Step 7:

All you need to do now is put a piece of paper on the wall and start projecting onto it. It's pretty easy to do and will work great along with being a fun activity around the house.

Step 8:

Lastly, you can make a projector out of almost anything around your house. Some other materials that I tried using were the bottom of a water bottle and just a simple flash light (when it's not turned

on obviously). Just be creative and know how to make a projector with anything that you find around the house.
